Departments & Committees
Education
Our club specializes in promoting arts and education through National Library Week, teacher appreciation, and an Art/Literature Contest. The club sponsors three scholarships awarded to Warrior Run graduating seniors each year; medical, technical, and education. We also sponsor a student to attend HOBY - Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation, which is a sophomore leadership conference.

RIF Distribution
Supporting our schools in the Warrior Run School we host RIF distribution (Reading Is Fundamental) twice a year. Each student chooses a book, free of charge, to encourage reading and family time. Our club also sponsors the One Child One Book Program for children in daycare and Headstart programs.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS
Arts: organizes contests in various Arts, Craft, Photography
and Literature for club members and students.

Education: Supports the RIF program within the school district
elementary schools and preschools support Warrior Run Montgomery House Library and recognize teachers and award 3 annual scholarships.

Home Life/Public Policy: Promotes wellness among members
and the community including the Adopt-A-Highway program
and providing service at a local nursing home and a senior living facility.
​
Programs/President’s Project: organizes monthly programs
for general meetings and updates members on the GFWC
president’s project.
​
Membership: Promotes membership growth, and installs new
members, and organizes the sunshine program.
​
Public Relations: provides information about the club’s programs to
the community through the newspaper and radio and social media.
​
Fund Raising: Organizes various fundraisers throughout the
year, including basket raffles and Avon.
​
International Affairs: monitors the collection of items to benefit
the needy families in our community and worldwide.
​
Social: Organizes events to inspire and enhance members’
friendships and strengthen community ties. Plan dinner
meetings and game nights, etc.
​
Neighbors Helping Neighbors: this project was started more
than forty years ago by our club when the need arose within
the community. We work with local churches to help families
in need.
We support community programs through fundraising to benefit our community. We organize various fundraisers throughout the year including Basket Raffles at the Turbotville and Watsontown Carnivals to fund our scholarships and support local needs within our community such as Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the Warrior Run Fire Company.
